What we’re about
Since 2014, A11yBay has been the place for Bay Area developers, designers, accessibility, usability and any other high-tech professionals who have an interest in digital (web, mobile, etc.) accessibility and users with different disabilities to network and learn from each other. Whether you: work on digital accessibility and are eager to share your knowledge, want to learn how to make what you are creating accessible to and inclusive of users with different disabilities, and/or are keen to network with like-minded professionals, this group is for you.

See all- Maybe AAA is Not So Bad?163 Main St, San Francisco, CA
Join the last A11yBay Meetup before we take our annual summer break. We'll be in-person at Workday's SF office for the talk "Maybe AAA is Not So Bad?" Our speaker, Gerard Cohen, will go through each World Wide Web (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) AAA criterion, explaining their meaning and purpose.
Then we'll vote in real-time whether or not they are too hard to implement. Spoiler: in most cases they are not!
The overall message is that good user experience likely includes a lot of AAA criteria—a valuable message for everyone to know and share!
More info about our guest speaker, Gerard Cohen, can be found onLinkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/gerardkcohen/
Food and light refreshments will be provided.
RSVP by June 23: If you receive a message from the organizers asking for your first and last names and do not reply by noon on Monday, June 23, you may be removed from the guest list. We need to provide an official guest list of names to Workday's security team for check-in.
