I hope this hasty meetup announcement finds you well! Like much of society, we're going online!

Given the rise of COVID-19 and the enforced social distancing taking the world by storm, we wanted to check in with our community to engage in some open discussion about impacts or opportunities for the accessibility community.

Sample questions:

What, if anything, has changed for you in the way you work, now that so many industries are shifting to online, remote work?

What problems/challenges do you see due to the wave of online workers?

What are the silver linings of this situation? Will we experience greater awareness of accessibility issues, more proactive inclusive design? Or is this situation only exposing the flaws in our imperfect systems?

Log on to Zoom (you can sign up for a free trial if you don't already have it, or join via phone for free) and join us for an open discussion on the above questions and any other walk-on items that come up related to the topic. Please mute yourself if you're not speaking.

Unfortunately, due to the remote nature of our gathering, there will be no beers to cheers after the meetup (as we usually do across the street). We'll leave it to you all at your own discretion to enjoy your own beverages. :)

Thanks, and stay healthy,

Alaina and Justin
