Accessibility in Design Systems

Details

Many large companies (such as AirBnB, Starbucks, Facebook, Shopify to name a few) employ a design system as a means of maintaining consistent visual UI and cutting down on the time and cost required to build new interface designs. These design systems are based on Bradley Frost’s Atomic Design Methodology, which begins the design journey at the lowest level of complexity. Uncoincidentally, this is the best place to incorporate accessibility into the design.

Join us as John Sweet will discuss a typical approach to creating a design system, as well as how and when to bring accessibility into the mix.

How to find us: Elevator in the lobby to the 3rd floor; Suite 300 is the first door on the right.
