The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is an amazing hub for digital accessibility and inclusive design .
#a11yTO is all about including new people into our community at our Meetups, camp, or to accessibility in general. Our goal is to provide a welcoming place for people to learn, share experiences ideas and solutions, and to collaborate on building a more inclusive web.
If you're interested in accessibility & inclusive design, this is your home. We usually meet once a month for presentations, tech talks, demos and more.
#a11yTO is back with our first meetup of 2020 and we are getting right into the thick of things with a talk from long time meetup member Peter Grucza on creating accessible HTML forms
The primary means of interacting with each other, with businesses and services on the web is through forms. Without forms the web would only be a one way channel of content being pushed out from servers.
During this talk Peter will focus on common challenges that we need to consider when presenting HTML forms in order to create a meaningful accessible experience for our users.
Peter Grucza has been working on the Web for over two decades now. He has a passion for web standards and digital accessibility. He can often be found in a kayak, usually the right way up.
