Parking at Gate 1: 400 Western Ave, Westfield, MA 01085 Drive all the way in until you see our tent and the Trailhead for the Frank Stanley Beveridge Wildlife Sanctuary.
Hike Rating: Easy approximately 3 miles in the woods and another 1.5 miles in the park loop with many options for more. Single path dirt, gravel paths and pavement trails. Optional river crossing to the historic Mundale Cemetery with Karen. Restrooms on site.
Stanley Park is a private non-profit organization, offering educational, cultural and entertainment programs, free to the public. Stanley Park also provides access to both passive and active recreational opportunities. Their mission is to perpetuate the dreams of Frank
Stanley Beveridge by maintaining Stanley Park as a refuge of physical and spiritual beauty, where families and individuals may enjoy gardens, trails, music, educational, sporting, and cultural activities in secure and peaceful surroundings, and to retain habitat for the wildlife of the area. Stanley Park has 300 acres of natural beauty to enjoy. Exceptional sights to see include the Rose Garden, Duck Pond, Asian Garden, Carillon Tower, Angel of Independence, Shrine Area and Veterans’ Memorial. We will take a hike in the Frank Stanley Beveridge Wildlife Sanctuary with it’s 229 acres of forested walking trails then stroll through some of the most interesting and beautifully landscaped grounds at the Park.
Please Register per car load on https://westernmasshilltownhikers.ticketleap.com Maps and bottled water provided. Well behaved dogs allowed. Event is volunteer lead. Suggested donation is $10.
