Apache Drill – Just Query It

Apache Drill is an open source, low-latency query engine for big data that delivers secure and interactive SQL analytics at petabyte scale. With the ability to discover schemas on-the-fly, Drill is a pioneer in delivering self-service data exploration capabilities on data stored in multiple formats in files or NoSQL databases. Drill is fully ANSI SQL compliant and integrates seamlessly with visualization tools.

This presentation will drill introduction, review uses cases, walk through exploration of a single data and prepare data for query and Query it.

Krista Klinger is a Systems Engineer for MapR. She has over 25 years of experience in IT, with the majority of time in Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Enterprise Performance Management, Enterprise Architecture, and Strategy. She comes from a field enablement position where she supports both license and consulting implementation sales teams. Krista holds a Masters of Science Degree in IT Management with an additional specialization in Leadership and Management. In her personal time, she competes with her dogs (Dobermans) in various national and international competitions.
