HIKE GRADES

You will have a choice of hikes, ranging from Moderate to Energetic. When we have three or more leaders, we also offer Challenging routes. AAA leaders have extensive navigational and hike-leading experience and are trained in wilderness first aid.

You can choose between shorter hikes of around 10 km and longer, more demanding hikes of 17 km+. We will take the weather into account and offer routes on the day.
The best weather day is for the Ben Nevis hike. There will be an alternative moderate/sightseeing route as well on this day

ITINERARY

The event starts at Glasgow Airport at 14:00 and finishes at 11:30.

ACCOMMODATION

We will be staying in spacious Highland lodges in the picturesque village of Onich, known for its magnificent and varied scenic beauty.
We have upgraded our base to a new place for us with much better conditions.
The luxury self-catering Scandinavian style holiday lodges are set in a peaceful and secluded woodland clearing midway between the home of Ben Nevis - Fort William and the majestic mountains of Glencoe in the Highlands of Scotland. It is popular with active guests, being a 20-minute drive to Ben Nevis, 10 minutes to Glencoe, walkers are spoiled for choice.
The lodges have three bedrooms with two bathrooms. The spacious master bedroom has a king-size bed, and there are also two twin bedrooms. All of our bedrooms have plenty of storage space. Our main bathroom has a wide, glass-sided, walk-in shower, and the second bathroom has a quadrant shower.
The kitchens have all been newly fitted in 2022 and are fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. There are dishwashers and washing machines as well. Outside, there is a veranda and a private picnic table where you can enjoy a midge-reduced environment thanks to 4 Midge Master machines.

Contact [aaalondongroup@yahoo.co.uk](http://mailto:aaalondongroup@yahoo.co.uk/) to enquire about the availability of a single room with a king-size bed for £360 extra and book in advance. The number of those is limited! It also depends on the number of males/females who booked the trip.
The first people to book on will stay in the male or female lodges. The last members booked may share a lodge with males and females. It all depends on numbers.

Breakfasts are provided as per the inclusions below. Most dietary requirements can be catered for if advised in advance. Lodges have kitchens for you to prepare your packed lunches and dinners (if you have chosen to stay in and cook).
