First Presentation: A Finance Professor's Tips on Options, Trends and Behavior Finance
Richard Lehman, Author, Instructor at Cal Poly and U.C. Berkeley
About This Presentation:
The indisputable fact is that, as a group, individual investors significantly underperform the market indexes over time. Among the challenges individuals face are dealing effectively with huge amounts of data, a lack of deep training and expertise, concentrated portfolios, and the negative influence of a host of behavioral biases that most people are completely unaware of. Learn tips on how to tackle these challenges from a long-time market veteran, author, and college professor.
HIGHLIGHTS:
1. How to use simple trend analysis to see the bigger picture, help identify opportunities, and enhance the timing of trades
2. How to use options to hedge positions, generate income, and fine-tune your trading strategy
3. How to avoid behavioral biases that wreak havoc with your trading success
FIRST SPEAKER’S BIO:
Richard Lehman is a finance professor at Cal Poly and UC Berkeley, now in his 22nd year of teaching. Prior to that, his financial career spanned 20+ years with Wall Street firms, The New York Stock Exchange, and the Wealth Management division at Mechanics Bank.
