What we’re about
Abbey Badminton Club ( Now including Watford Badminton Meetup ), play doubles badminton at Parmiter's School Sports Hall, High Elms Lane, WD25 0UU, every Friday night from 8-10 pm. The club has been in existence for over thirty years now and we have been enjoying social gatherings on the badminton courts, with some healthy competition ever since.
There is parking on site, plus changing and showering facilities available. Our club is open to all teenagers and adults and there is no upper age limit. However, due to the fact that we have a limit to the number of members in a group, and attendance capacity of just 24 each week, we ask potential new members to answer three simple questions, appropriately, before they can be accepted.
We will accept new members on the understanding that an appearance is made within, say, two months and periodically thereafter. If this isn't complied with we reserve the right to remove you as a member so that others who want to play may join.
We are a social club with mixed abilities with both male and female members.
There is no joining fee, just come along and play.
We charge £70 per 12/13 week quarter of a year, if paid at the start of the term, or £7.00 if paid weekly.
Our social side extends to enjoying a refresher in a local, after the exertions, for those who are inclined.
