What we’re about
Welcome to ABCD. We maintain a small active group of members who are easy-going, nice, and who enjoy getting to know each other. (Being a transplant from elsewhere is not a requirement.) Our meetups are generally smaller, more intimate, and friendly.
Weekly events include happy hours with food, the occasional breakfast, karaoke, live music, trivia, and other miscellaneous events. Generally, we have 3-5 events on the calendar each week. Most events are in Albuquerque but we occasionally venture into Bernalillo, Corrales, Rio Rancho, and even Santa Fe.
Generally speaking, for any event on the calendar, the organizer may CANCEL the event when there are fewer than four RSVPs.
REMOVAL FROM THE GROUP
Members who DO NOT EXEMPLIFY THE SPIRIT OF THE GROUP will be removed without notice or explanation. This includes being rude, creating drama, and being verbally combatant. TOLERANCE in all situations is the key to participation.
- Members who join and never attend an event after 3 months will be removed from the group. This policy encourages a smaller and more active community.
- *Members who have excessive no shows and cancellations will be moved to the wait list for events.*
Group guidelines:
1. REQUIRED: post a current photo of your face, not an object or fairly pet, etc. This is how we find you and you find us at events.
2. Only join and come to events if you feel comfortable with your health and immunity status.
3. For every event, please make at least 1 purchase, AND / OR tip servers, karaoke DJs, event hosts, etc. In other words, respect and show appreciation for all services.
*Meetup charges $106 every six months and I try to defray the costs of the meetup group through member contributions. We take donations each October and March.
