Time to travel to one of the most stunning places on Earth that I had the chance to visit, it has some of the best gastronomies in the world; MOROCCO...
On this occasion, I will focus mostly on Marrakech as there is a lot to see and experience and the Atlas Mountains and as it is a 5 days trip, the visits of Ouarzazate and the Ouzoud waterfalls will not be too tiring but there will be quite a bit of walking involved in Marrakech because, there is A LOT to see and experience.
This trip will be a 4 nights trip that will mix beauty, history, nature, short hikes, lazy times by the pool and some time in the mountains with some monkeys and Africa's second largest waterfall as well as a visit to the gate to the desert Ouarzazate.
We will be based in Marrakech in a Hotel in the city's more modern but not less historical part. Psst, there is a pool.
DAY 1:
Arrival.
I will meet you at Stansted airport at 11am and we will travel together. Landing time is 18:25 local time so we will arrive on time for diner. We will drop our bags at the hotel and start the trip at my favourite restaurant called Al Fassia for those who fancy. This restaurant is an absolute wonder for your tastebuds, believe me!
DAY2:
VISIT of Marrakech.
I will take you on a journey through some beauties you do not even expect. The red city has a lot to offer so does the rest of the country. I will guide you through Marrakech's red streets, we will haggle in the Souk to buy some awesome babouches, traditional clothing or a magic lamp. Wander at the stunning mosques, palaces, streets and gardens. Grab some delicious street food from tagines, to my favourite, the Couscous Royal and many more...
Day 3:
OURZAZATE & Ait ben Haddou
Ouarzazat and the famous Ait ben Haddou, known as the filming location for at least 23 Hollywood blockbusters such as The Mummy or Laurence of Arabia, Gladiator, Alexander or Jesus or Nazareth to mention a few... Aït Benhaddou - Wikipedia
We will take a minibus with a company that I have used in previous trips and will have a day trip to this amazing location (Pictured)
Day4:
Ouzoud Waterfall and the Last monkeys of North Africa. On this trip, we will take another day trip to another wonderful location, the Ouzoud Waterfall, in the atlas mountains. We will have a short guided hike in the mountains, you will be able to swim and then take your selfie with some of the wild monkeys that will be waiting for us... please keep your bags and items secure at all time, they are cheeky thieves!:)
Day5:
Freedom time. I have not planned anything for our last day so you will be able to do whatever you fancy before we head to the airport around 3 pm. Whether you want to enjoy the pool, have a walk around or buy some souvenirs, you will be free to do so but please be ready for departure by 3pm.
