Absent is Lisboa's space for time.
We're building a community for people who want to disconnect from screens
and reconnect with analog ways of being - reading, creating, thinking,
playing, or just being present.
Our space at Rua da Glória 78 is designed to facilitate presence and connected, and equipped with high-quality materials like books, journals, art, supplies, board games, puzzles, and more.
We have partnered with local artist communities and small businesses to host events, workshops and meetups.
What we do:
- Regular open hours for walk-in phone-free time
- Creative workshops and skill-sharing sessions
- Community gatherings and themed events
- Social afternoons and evenings for connection
Everything is phone-free. We provide secure pouches you can unlock anytime at the cafe counter for emergencies.

A practical, guided session built from scratch for people who want to make meditation a part of their routine. Led by Reena, who has been meditating daily for years and knows the fastest way to make it actually work for beginners. 40 minutes of guided meditation broken into easy sections. Followed by proper chai - boiled in a kettle, single origin Assam leaves, whole spices, the way it's meant to be made. With the right snacks for the cup. Stay as long as you like afterwards.

Creative Connection
Absent Lisbon - Offline Café & Third Space, Rua da Glória 78, 1250-217 Lisboa, Portugal, Lisboa, PTA playful and reflective creative workshop to help you feel more connected with yourself, connect with people and leave more inspired.
In a world that moves quickly this screen free workshop is an invitation to pause, step away from everyday life and be creative in your own way.
We'll do fun exercises in a relaxed setting and beautiful space. You don't need to be artistically inclined because there is no right or wrong way to create, the focus is on the experience.
What to expect
