Ecomodernism: Growing the Economy, Protecting the Planet

The philosophy of ecomodernism argues it's possible to grow the economy and protect the environment at the same time (decoupling growth from environmental harm). With science and technology, we could create a world with both material and natural abundance. Examples:

• Abundant clean energy boosting development without causing climate change
• Dense cities and efficient farming using less land, so we don't need to destroy more nature
