Hiking at Fullersburg Woods Forest Preserve!

We will start on the shorter trails closer to the parking lot and gradually work our way up from there. The shortest trails are about 0.2 miles long, with the longest being 2.3 miles.

To cover all trails, we would be hiking 4.2 miles; otherwise hikers can leave as they need. There will be no set pace, so feel free to go as fast (or slow) as you like- no one will be left behind.

Make sure to bring appropriate clothing for the weather, as well as water, insect repellent, sunscreen, and proper footwear. Unless it’s thunder storming, the event will go on.

We will be taking a picnic break in between, so feel free to bring your own lunch or snacks! The end time is an estimate; we may take less or more time, depending on how long it takes to complete the trails.

**Note: Fullersburg was chosen so that anyone who might want to come from the city who doesn’t have access to a car could come by train. The Metra station is about 1.2 miles away, or half an hour’s walk. If the distance doesn’t work, DM me and we might be able to figure something out.
