When Connection Gets Hard
Parents and Young People on Mental Health, Attachment and Finding Each Other Again - Recorded webinar

For World Mental Health Day 2026, Power to Live brings together parents and young people to explore what happens when mental health makes connection difficult.

Especially relevant for school leavers, parents of school leavers, and empty nesters navigating change, separation and connection.
Through lived experience and practical attachment-informed psychology, we’ll look at what can sit underneath withdrawal, anger, shutting down and conflict, and how parents and young people can move towards greater understanding, safety and connection.
We’ll explore how to listen without immediately trying to fix, support without controlling, recognise what may be happening beneath behaviour, and repair relationships after difficult moments.
This webinar is for parents, carers, young adults, and anyone interested in improving connection during times of mental-health struggle.
Ticket fee support our charitable work and you can access the recording if you cannot attend live.
