Welcome to the ACLT Trail Hiking, Biking, and Paddling Meetup Group! This group is geared towards outdoor enthusiasts who love exploring the 25+ miles of beautiful trails that wind through 3800+ acres of preserved land surrounding Parkers Creek. We offer guided hikes, trail rides, and canoe trips plus an annual triathlon in the fall. Whether you enjoy hiking on foot, biking on our designated trails, paddling up the scenic Parkers Creek, or meeting fellow nature-lovers at one of our events, this group is perfect for individuals of all ages and experience levels. Join us in raising awareness and taking action against climate change while enjoying the serenity of our nature preserve!

Aloha Guided Hike
American Chestnut Land Trust South Side Trailhead, 1985 Scientists Cliffs Rd, Port Republic, MD, USNamed in honor of a beloved member who passed away this year and who signed his name "Aloha Dan". When he wasn't in Hawaii, he lived in Scientists Cliffs and hiked the East Loop almost daily, making repairs and clearing the trail as needed.
REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Date: Sunday. July 26
Time: 8:00am (will last approx 2 hours)
Location: Begins at South Trailhead Parking Lot (arrive by 7:45am!)
Trails: East Loop (several inclines)
PLEASE NOTE: ACLT reserves the right to cancel or reschedule hikes due to inclement weather. We will email you if the hike is canceled.
Tips for Making Your Hike More Enjoyable:- The hike will last approximately 2 hours.
- Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather; wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals or flip flops)!
- We love dogs, but we do not allow them on guided hikes.
- Lastly, don't forget to bring water!
