Our next presentation features two speakers with complementary topics in NLP and Data Science.

Sunny Sui will talk about the business insights of leading insurance companies use of data science. The presentation will address both the accuracy and scalability of data that used in insurance applications.

Helen Wang's presentation will cover Natural Language Processing (NLP) applications in chatbot and news feeds. Between Sunny and Helen, they have 15 years of experience in the applications of NLP, Data Science, Computer Vision, and Object Detection.

About the speakers
Helen Wang is a Senior Manager at Waste Management focusing on computer vision and recommendation systems. She has built NLP solutions for Microsoft AI acceleration program and achieved better accuracy than Bert for news feed ranker.

Her computer vision projects, for which she has been awarded a patent, are used in fintech, auto driving and healthcare applications. The topic of her PhD thesis was large-scale image algorithms using neural network and 2-dimensional statistics.

Sunny Sui is an associate director at United Healthcare. She will share her insights on how data science can help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for both patients and providers.
