NEOACM REMOTE General Assembly Meeting

Details
This is our Remote General Assembly Meetings.
We will discuss an article in the "Communications of the ACM":
## What Came First, Math or Computing?
written by Moshe Y. Vardi
Here is the link to the article:

Quoted from the article:
"Albert Einstein asked, "How can it be that mathematics, being after all a product of human thought, which is independent of experience, is so admirably appropriate to the objects of reality?" The 19th century mathematician Leopold Kronecker offered a compromise, saying "God created the integers, all else is the work of man."
We will discuss some basic ideas about what is math. Was it discovered or invented? What's the difference between math and computing? Do you agree with Dr. Vardi's assessment in the article?
I hope you attend and engage in this discussion!
Thanx!
Tracey Hughes (Secretary)
