A Rainbow Academy é um espaço de aprendizagem, partilha e desenvolvimento pessoal e profissional para pessoas LGBTQIA+.

As sessões combinam momentos informativos e práticos, abordando diferentes temas relacionados com trabalho, competências, bem-estar, autonomia e integração social, num ambiente acolhedor, respeitador e centrado na comunidade.

Os temas podem incluir:
• Desenvolvimento pessoal e profissional
• Apoio na criação de CV e LinkedIn
• Preparação para entrevistas
• Ferramentas digitais e competências práticas
• Direitos sociais e recursos disponíveis
• Confiança, comunicação e orientação profissional
• Conversas abertas e partilha de experiências

Grupo pequeno (2 a 6 pessoas), pensado para criar um espaço confortável, próximo e com atenção a cada participante.

Facilitado por Fabiano Nascimento (BNP Paribas) e membros da comunidade/voluntáries com experiência em diferentes áreas. Possibilidade de acompanhamento individual posterior, de acordo com as necessidades.

Nota: as sessões são presenciais, sem participação remota nem gravação. Nenhuma informação será partilhada com terceiros.

Rainbow Academy is a space for learning, exchange, and personal and professional development for LGBTQIA+ people.

The sessions combine informative and practical moments, covering different topics related to work, skills, wellbeing, autonomy, and social inclusion, in a welcoming, respectful and community-centred environment.

Topics may include:
• Personal and professional development
• CV and LinkedIn support
• Interview preparation
• Digital tools and practical skills
• Social rights and available resources
• Confidence, communication and career orientation
• Open conversations and peer exchange

Small group (2 to 6 people), designed to create a comfortable, intimate setting where each participant receives individual attention.

Facilitated by community members and volunteers with experience in different areas. Possibility of follow-up individual support, as needed.

Note: Sessions are in-person only, with no remote participation or recording. No information will be shared with third parties.

​Why a Support Group Focused on Trans Individuals?
​At Aconchego House, we believe in the power of community care. Our counselor-led trans meetup provides a welcoming space where individuals can connect, share experiences, and foster community. Participants gather to discuss topics that matter to them, from gender identity to navigating challenges with HRT to political and safety concerns to celebrating personal milestones. The atmosphere is supportive and inclusive, allowing for open dialogue and genuine connections. Attendees can express themselves authentically and find solidarity among others who understand their journey. This gathering not only empowers individuals but also reinforces the importance of visibility and advocacy within and beyond the community, especially in these difficult times.

​This free counselor-led support group meets at Aconchego House. It is facilitated in English in order to welcome anyone who wishes to participate. Prior registration is required to ensure a welcoming and safe space for all.

​Porquê um grupo de apoio focado em pessoas trans?
​Na Aconchego House, acreditamos no poder do cuidado comunitário. O nosso encontro trans liderado por conselheiros oferece um espaço acolhedor onde as pessoas podem se conectar, partilhar experiências e promover a comunidade. Os participantes se reúnem para discutir temas importantes para eles, desde identidade de género até como lidar com os desafios da terapia hormonal, passando por questões políticas e de segurança, até celebrar marcos pessoais. O ambiente é acolhedor e inclusivo, permitindo um diálogo aberto e conexões genuínas. Os participantes podem expressar-se com autenticidade e encontrar solidariedade entre outras pessoas que compreendem a sua jornada. Este encontro não só empodera os indivíduos, como também reforça a importância da visibilidade e da defesa dentro e fora da comunidade, especialmente nestes tempos difíceis.

The voice is a prominent part of the many ways in which we express and perceive gender. How we use and hear it matters not only to others, but also to ourselves. A significant part of many people's gender journey is learning to use their voice to reflect who they are, and also unlearn some of the habits and tendencies picked up over time which are further reinforced by social feedback.

This class serves as an accessible, safe, and useful opportunity for transgender and non-binary people to learn how to unlock and use your voice to speak and express yourself in a way that aligns better with your true self. Voice training can be a difficult, complex process which poses a daunting task, but we aim to guide you through it in this class.

The class is free, but donations to Aconchego House are very welcome!
