​Why a Support Group Focused on Trans Individuals?
​At Aconchego House, we believe in the power of community care. Our counselor-led trans meetup provides a welcoming space where individuals can connect, share experiences, and foster community. Participants gather to discuss topics that matter to them, from gender identity to navigating challenges with HRT to political and safety concerns to celebrating personal milestones. The atmosphere is supportive and inclusive, allowing for open dialogue and genuine connections. Attendees can express themselves authentically and find solidarity among others who understand their journey. This gathering not only empowers individuals but also reinforces the importance of visibility and advocacy within and beyond the community, especially in these difficult times.

​This free counselor-led support group meets at Aconchego House. It is facilitated in English in order to welcome anyone who wishes to participate. Prior registration is required to ensure a welcoming and safe space for all.

​Na Aconchego House, acreditamos no poder do cuidado comunitário. O nosso encontro trans liderado por conselheiros oferece um espaço acolhedor onde as pessoas podem se conectar, partilhar experiências e promover a comunidade. Os participantes se reúnem para discutir temas importantes para eles, desde identidade de género até como lidar com os desafios da terapia hormonal, passando por questões políticas e de segurança, até celebrar marcos pessoais. O ambiente é acolhedor e inclusivo, permitindo um diálogo aberto e conexões genuínas. Os participantes podem expressar-se com autenticidade e encontrar solidariedade entre outras pessoas que compreendem a sua jornada. Este encontro não só empodera os indivíduos, como também reforça a importância da visibilidade e da defesa dentro e fora da comunidade, especialmente nestes tempos difíceis.

Doors open at 18h, karaoke from 19-22h. We will be closing at 23h to respect our neighbors.

Expect great drinks, delicious pizza, fun singalong music, and inspiring conversations in a cozy, inclusive space. Come alone or bring a friend – you’ll always leave with a few more! 💜

Come play a self-contained 3 hour Dungeons and Dragons session (called a one shot). New and experienced player friendly. Characters and dice provided. No preparation required.

Alex and Lily are experienced DnD masters and guarantee that we will have a good time!

The two groups are restricted to 14 players, so please be considerate and email us if you RSVP and then cannot come. People on the waiting list can still come, play some of the available board games, or enjoy the show!

There is no cost to join, though we ask that you purchase drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic, plus coffee/tea) at the bar/café. Pizza and cakes are also available; please purchase something to help us keep our community space open.

Alex and Lily will plan a new adventure every two weeks, so if you cannot make it this time, join the next quest!
