About us
ACTIVE Austria is a Vienna-based community bringing people together through sports, outdoor activities, social events and healthy lifestyle initiatives. We organise walks, hikes, trainings, workshops and community events that are open, friendly and inclusive.
Our activities are a great way to move, meet new people, explore Vienna and its surroundings, and be part of an active international community. Everyone is welcome — no special experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to join.

Women Walking Community - Purkersdorf to Pressbaum
Bahnhof Purkersdorf Zentrum, Pummergasse 10, Purkersdorf, al, ATLadies, join us for a longer hike through the beautiful Wienerwald, from Purkersdorf to Pressbaum, and enjoy some active time outdoors together in a friendly atmosphere.
📅 Date: Sunday, 23 August 2026
🕐 Meeting time: 09:30
📍 Meeting point: Train station Purkersdorf Zentrum (reachable via S50)
⏱️ Duration: around 4–5 hours
🔀 Shorter option available: we can end earlier at Untertullnerbach train station, around 3–3.5 hours
📏 Length: around 18–20 km (shorter version: 12–14 km)
🌲 Route: Purkersdorf → Troppberg, with a stop at Mirli for coffee, juice, or tea
⛰️ Ascent: around 550 m
💚 Difficulty: Moderate, but longWe will enjoy a normal walk through the forest, with a good stretch of climbing along the way. The route is suitable for people who enjoy walking at a relaxed but active pace and don't mind a longer day out — a shorter version is available for anyone who'd rather turn back sooner.
What to bring:

- Sun protection
- Umbrella or rain protection if needed
- Some money if you would like to buy coffee, juice, or tea at Mirliℹ️ Please note: There are no WC facilities at the start or end point. Toilets are only available at stops like Mirli, or at huts/hotels along the way.
