Photo Walk on Moss Lake Trail @ Elk Island National Park

Join us for a relaxing afternoon photo walk! We'll leisurely hike Moss Lake Trail which is a 12.6 km loop with minimal elevation gain and rolling hills.
We will have a couple stops for photos and for a lunch at about the half way point. The trailhead is accessed from the Elk Island Parkway.

What to bring
Bring water and a packed lunch. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and layered clothing. Consider trekking poles. Remember your camera or cellphone, optional binoculars for potential beaver sightings and your fabulous personality!
We will meet at the Moss Lake Trailhead parking lot. Please plan to be there a few minutes early if you need to buy a park pass at the kiosk. We want to depart for the hike right at 12 noon.
Cost
National Park fee or passes are required. We encourage carpooling. If you want to carpool with us, let’s meet at Hardisty Pool at 11:00 am. Just ask in the comment area whether we have space for you! (Courtesy driver fee is usually $5 per person to pitch-in for park pass and gas. Thanks!)
