Join us for a leisurely 6-7 km hike from the Bison Lodge (aka the Pioneer Cabin) through Mill Creek Ravine to celebrate your inner voyageur with light, music, legends and dance!
In the spirit of a great winter city, the Flying Canoë Volant is a creative and interactive cultural celebration designed to engage local history and everything that is great about a long winter’s night.
Inspired by the legend of The Flying Canoe and French Canadian, First Nations and Métis traditions, Flying Canoë Volant embraces Edmonton’s beautiful Mill Creek Ravine and the newly-established French Quarter.

What to bring:
Water, hot beverage/snack, plaid shirt/hat, grippers, flashlight/headlamp, small backpack to de-layer and your fabulous personality!

To check out our events, newcomers pay a registration fee of $10, which includes a pass for 5 free events.
All current members and guests pay a drop-in fee of $2 per event per person.
For unlimited free events, an annual pass of $30 is available. That is the best deal and amounts to only $2.50 per month!!

Outdoor events are dependent on weather conditions and air quality. Check back at least one or two hours prior to the event in case of cancellations.
