Hike to Garden Concert

Join us on a leisurely 7-km hike to enjoy a free Summer Garden Concert at the halfway point. It is 3.5 km one way with a 70 m climb while avoiding climbing stairs.

After the performance, by a show of hands, we will go for a treat at Kind Ice Cream or explore Paul Kane Park.

Garden Concerts

Summer is coming—and that means our Garden Concert series is returning! We’re so excited to once again welcome members of our parish and the wider community to come and enjoy our beautiful grounds and the amazing musicians who share their gifts with us.

July 22: Jessica & Sam Heine (singer/songwriter duo)
July 29: Terry McDade (Celtic folk musician)
Aug 5: Cara Lianne McLeod Ensemble (jazz/pop ensemble)
Aug 12: Josh McHan Trio (jazz trio)
Aug 19: YEG Byrds (swing, jazz & pop)
Aug 26: Brianna Lizotte (Métis fiddler)

For those that want to skip the hike, performances start at 7 pm and last about an hour at Christ Church Anglican Church gardens 12116 102 Avenue.

We will meet at 6:00 pm in the parking lot east of the Royal Glenora Club. Plan to arrive early so we can head out on time. To get there, click on the red pin on the meetup map for directions.

If you cannot make it after all, please remember to edit your RSVP to say "no" so that we are not waiting for you. Please respect all rules and stay home if feeling unwell.

What to bring:
Water, sunscreen/bugspray, optional trekking poles, blanket/mat to sit on and your fabulous personality!! Foldout chairs are provided and we may be able to use those if we get there early enough to nab some.

Reminder
To check out our events, newcomers pay a registration fee of $10, which includes a pass for 5 free events.
All current members and guests pay a drop-in fee of $2 per event per person.
For unlimited free events, an annual pass of $30 is available. This is the best deal and amounts to only $2.50 per month instead of a toonie each event!!

Cancellations
Outdoor events are dependent on weather conditions and air quality. Check back at least one or two hours prior to the event in case the hiking portion gets canceled. For the last few years, the performers were moved indoors when there was poor weather.
