Funston Beach Coastal Trail Hike (~2mi, 200ft)

☀️ Easy beach hike with 2 moderate ascents: ~2mi with 200ft elevation gain. We will walk ~0.5mi on the beach where dogs can go off leash, so wear beach-worthy shoes and expect sandy paws! ⛱️ 🐾 It will likely be sunny and windy, so dress accordingly and bring an appropriate amount of water for you and your dog(s).

Dog lovers that are non-owners are WELCOMED. Just bring yourself, a guest or two, and your love for dogs.

We will meet at the Fort Funston Parking Lot (Nike Missile Site SF-59L) off of Fort Funston Road (off Skyline) near the Observation Deck.

WARNINGS and DISCLAIMERS

• Dogs must be on-leash (6 foot of less) at all times. Please abide by park rules.
• All owners are solely responsible for their own dogs and must have full control of them. This includes, but not limited to controlling and preventing any adverse behaviors such as lunging, attacking, or biting other people or dogs.
• If your dog is untrained or is highly reactive to other people or other dogs, do NOT attend this event.
