How much can we squeeze into one First Thursday? On this day it may depend upon the weather. My panoply of cultures suggestion for the afternoon is to first visit the warmth of the Conservatory with its sheltered plants from around the planet visiting VPC then walk a short way down to Seattle Asian Art Museum to view the first two exhibits listed here: SAAM: current exhibits Some of us have seen one of them and the other is newer.

After our drop-in at SAAM, let's either carpool, hop a bus, or walk the .7 mi. south [if it happens to defy predictions and not rain at all] to try some Indian street food at Spice Waala (340 15th Ave E, Suite 220.) Here's what they offer: https://www.spicewaala.com/menu

Starting at 6 pm. there will be a special holiday in the [Volunteer] park event with 600 luminarias along paths, plus complimentary hot chocolate and cookies, or so they say. https://www.volunteerparktrust.org/events It sounds nice, if it's not raining a lot. Let's see what the day brings and decide from there. I hope most will want to at least visit the conservatory and SAAM and have a light dinner before heading home!
