About us
This Meetup group is operated by Friends of Long Island Dog Parks (June 18, 2020), which does business as the Long Island Dog Owners Group (LI-DOG). Our goal is to socialize with other dog owners and organize fun things to do with our dogs including dog-friendly events and enjoying Long Island's beautiful dog-friendly parks and beaches!

đž Beach Pawty Fun
Let your pup frolic in the sand, chase tennis balls, splash in the calm waters of the Great South Bay and enjoy the company of friendly dogs and their humans. Weâll have Frisbees, tennis balls, and plenty of space for joyful zoomies.đ§šBeach Cleanup â 9:30 a.m.
Arrive early and help us get the beach ready for the Pawty! A quick cleanup keeps Mud Creek beautiful and gives you and your pup a little extra sunshine before the festivities begin.đ´What to Bring
Mud Creek is a natural, noâamenities beach. Please bring:- Plenty of water for you and your pup, LI-DOG will have some water
- Towels
- Beach chairs
- An umbrella
- Poop bags (LIâDOG will have extras, but please bring your own)
There are no bathrooms, no water fountains, and no poopâbag stations. One trash receptacle is located at the beach exit; LIâDOG will also have a large garbage bag for waste.
đDog & Safety Guidelines
Mud Creek is a naturalâborders dog parkânot fenced on most sides. For everyoneâs safety:- Only bring wellâsocialized dogs who enjoy offâleash play
- Dogs must reliably come when called
- No retractable leashes
- Keep dogs onâleash until inside the offâleash area
To access the beach: Enter through the double gate, walk along the fence, then turn right onto the beach as soon as the fence ends. Please keep offâleash dogs out of the noâdog zone in front of the fence.

Love LIâDOGâs fun, dogâfriendly events? Help make this one a success!
We need 4â5 strong volunteers to help carry umbrellas, water, a table, and dog toys from our cars to the beach and back again. You can also help at the LIâDOG tableâsigning people in, handing out tennis balls, and greeting pups.Email events@lidog.org with âDoggie Beach Pawty Helpâ in the subject line if you can lend a hand. Thank you!
