Performance starts at 7.00 pm.
This bold and rebellious pop-rock musical, winner of eight Tony™ Awards (including Best Musical), is brought to the New Athenaeum stage by our final-year BA Musical Theatre cohort. Teenage angst, self-discovery, sexuality and censorship collide in a thrilling production with a rock score and searingly emotional book applying an electrifying jolt to Frank Wedekind's original tale of self-discovery.

Story line:
In late 19th century Germany, the naïve Wendla Bergman wants answers to the questions that nobody seems to be able to answer. Elsewhere, the brilliant young scholar Melchior Gabor wonders why his classmates and teachers are so reluctant to address the pressures and harsh realities of adolescence. Through a chance meeting in the woods, their desires and curiosities unravel, with irreversible consequence.
