Onkaparinga Campfire Kickoff—Camping & Jaffles Under the Stars!

Join us at Pink Gum Campground for the first campfire of the season! We’ll have three campsites booked (six cars can park overnight there, others in the nearby car park, 8 people per campsite), and yes, there’s a toilet! We won’t bring the barbecue plate, so bring your own jaffle iron .

Grab a jumbo one for around $30 at Anaconda or BCF. You can cook your own sausages or fillings in your jaffle iron.

In the morning, we’ll have a leisurely campfire coffee session and possibly a casual hike, no rush.

Costs: There’s a $20 fee per person, which helps cover booking camping fees. I’ll provide one bag of firewood myself, and any leftover funds go toward the group’s $600 annual Meetup cost.

Note:

• Sunset is pretty early these days! If you can, consider taking a half day off to arrive early and enjoy the campfire while it’s still daylight. But of course, feel free to join whenever you want!
• This is a smaller, community style event. Priority is given to people who’ve joined our hikes before or are known to attendees. Message me if you’re new.
