Tame the Beast: Maintaining Interactive Web Apps
Let's face it, maintaining interactive web apps is challenging. But fear not, this talk will help you tame the beast! Gert draws from personal experience maintaining the Chromatic web app to present several strategies on how to maintain and ship complex UI with confidence. From type-safe code to end-to-end testing and everything in between. Of course, Storybook is front-and-center in all of this.

Gert is a principal software engineer at Chromatic, a US-based startup founded by Storybook maintainers. He works remotely from his home in Amersfoort with a globally distributed team of experts in UI engineering. When not at work or hanging out with the family, he likes cycling, (water)skiing, Krav Maga, and the occasional video game.

Phero lets you write plain TS to build your API and generates a typesafe RPC client for your frontend. Use your backend functions on your frontend, as if they were local!

Jasper is the co-founder of a small dev-agency in Amsterdam. Besides that he’s a seasoned full-stack developer, mostly leaning on making things around him as simple as possible, but not simpler than it needs to be.
