About us
I search for diverse and enjoyable experiences throughout NJ (and sometimes beyond)! Activities vary from heart-pumping adrenaline rushes, physical challenges, peaceful exploring, trying new food and excursions, and spending a night out for entertainment. I'm very open minded and I love meeting new people of all ages and backgrounds, so everyone is welcome here. I don't charge dues.
I'm down for anything, so suggestions for meetups are strongly encouraged. Just message me an idea or thought, and I'll do my best to set up a fun event for you :-) Please try to keep your RSVPs up to date and accurate because sometimes reservations are required. Unless I say otherwise in the description, feel free to bring guests as long as I have a heads up about how many people will be joining. This should go without saying, but everyone is responsible for their own safety while in the group. I do what I can to minimize the risk of danger and choose venues with solid reputations.
Thank you to everyone that has shared experiences with me so far, and I look forward to having fun times with all of you :-)

Kayaking Adventure in the Pine Barrens w/ optional Water Guns
Mick's Canoe and Kayak Rental, 3107 County Rd 563, Browns Mills, NJ, US>> This event is cross-posted across two other groups, so we anticipate a large turnout! <<
Get ready for a fun, relaxing, and slightly wet day out on the water! I used to host these kayaking trips pre-COVID and they were always an absolute blast. Whether you want to leisurely paddle or engage in an epic water gun battle, this is the perfect summer getaway.
We will be doing an approx. 3-hour kayak trip down the Oswego River. It’s scenic, relatively calm, and beginner-friendly, though you will need a basic level of physical fitness and coordination to paddle. It is not a race, you won’t be paddling for 3 hours non-stop. Most of the time the river’s flow just takes you, but there are branches that you may need to navigate around. There are a few large “beaches” to stop along the way. Whoever is at the front of the group you can just make a decision for all and pick a nice spot to stop, relax, explore, eat, hang out…or ambush your friends.### 🔫 Rules of Engagement & River Safety
To keep things fun and safe for everyone, we have a few ground rules:
- Armed Forces Only: Only shoot people who are also carrying a water gun. If someone is unarmed, leave them in peace to enjoy their paddle!
- Going Overboard: People get excited, and sometimes someone ends up in the river. Don't panic! The river isn't that deep—in most cases, if you tip over, you can literally just stand up.
- The River Tax: Don't bring anything you are too attached to. If you bring expensive sunglasses, car keys, or a phone without a floating waterproof case and/or clipped to you, accept that the river might decide to keep it forever.
### 📅 The Schedule & Meeting Details
- When: Arrive before 9:30 AM, so you can park and gather your belongings.
- Where: Mick’s Canoe and Kayak Rental
- Meeting Spot: Look for me by the picnic tables in front of the building (see the event photo where I circled the spot in red). I’ll begin by making a list of people and their preference (double or single kayaks). FYI part of the fun and social aspect is to (maybe) make a friend if you go in a double kayak…just a suggestion.
- The Plan: Shortly after 9:30 AM, I will go in the office to coordinate our trip. Do not go inside the office by yourself until I give the go-ahead and we go as a group. If you need supplies like watershoes, etc. then yes go in and buy them, but wait to pay for the trip with all of us. After you pay, wait for all of us outside, at the same spot. Once our shuttle(s) arrive I’ll give the signal to start boarding as a group.
⚠️ CRITICAL NOTE ON TIMING: The rental company runs on a strict schedule. The shuttle will not wait for latecomers. If you are late, you will be put on a later shuttle, miss the group, and be on your own for 3 hours. Please give yourself plenty of travel time!
