MT. SAN JACINTO

We had to cancel the last one, and now they are closed until October 13. But that's not going to stop us! We're going right after they reopen!

Mt. San Jacinto! One of the most awesome peaks in Southern California, not only because it's a fun and beautiful hike, but also because Jacinto is the most prominent peak in Southern California. At 8,319 feet above Palm Springs, and several thousand feet higher than any of the other mountains around it, the view from the top of Jacinto is just AMAZING.

THE PLAN

We'll start from the top Tramway, so it'll be 11 miles, and about 2,400 ft. elevation gain from 8,516 feet to 10,834 ft.

We're meeting at 10:00 am at the bottom of the tramway in Palm Springs. This way we should be able to start the hike from the top of the tramway before 11, be at the summit before 2:00pm, chill for a while, and be back late afternoon.

Then, for extra fun, since we'll be in Palm Springs, we can go grab a pizza and a beer afterwards. Why not...? We're good people, we just did a good hike, now let's have some pizza and beer! We deserve it. :)

Bring:
- Water (at least 2 liters)
- Snacks, goo chomps, energy bar, or whatever you may need to keep you going for a 6 hour hike
- A jacket (it can be cold and windy at the summit)
- $37 for the tram
- $ for pizza and beer

- Make sure to update your RSVP if you are not coming. I'm the nicest guy in the world, but I'm very intolerant of certain things. Flakiness is one. If someone doesn't show up for something, I simply remove them from my groups and my life. With all the love in the world. 😁
