Join us on this hiking adventure as we head to the coast for the best of Dorset Get ready for an unforgettable summer escape on the stunning Dorset coast. Over four days, we'll hike through some of the most iconic and beautiful landscapes in the UK, think dramatic sea cliffs, ancient castles, hidden coves, and rolling countryside.

You'll be joining a friendly group of adventurous women for a weekend of challenge, laughter, and connection. This trip is perfect if you're ready for full days of walking, love the coast, and want to explore somewhere new with supportive guides and great company.

Itinerary:
Friday - Corfe Castle Walk
We will walk a scenic loop around Corfe Castle with far-reaching views over Purbeck. This is a great introduction to the area, with plenty of views of the surrounding countryside.
Distance: 11 km | Ascent: 300 m | Grade 2 - Moderate

Saturday - Kimmeridge & Swyre Head
Today we explore one of the most dramatice sections of the Jurrassic coast. Hiking the fossil-rich bay at Kimmeridge and the panoramic viewpoint of Swyre Head - the highest point in Purbeck. A proper day of adventure and achievement.
Distance: 15 km | Ascent: 480 m | Grade 3 - Challenging
Packed lunch on the go Evening dinner and social time in a local town

Sunday - Old Harry Rocks
A classic Dorset walk featuring chalk sea stacks of Old Harry Rocks, the golden beaches of Studland cliff paths, and quite countryside paths. It's a beautiful blend of coastal drama and peaceful walking with plenty of great photo opportunities.
Distance: 16 km | Ascent: 276 m | Grade 2: Moderate
Return for another relaxed evening and optional group dinner

Monday - Lulworth Cove Finale
We will finish with an iconic walk from Lulworth Cove. With Iconic views of the coastline including Durdle Door. A perfect final hike to end the trip on a high.
Distance: 14 km | Ascent: 479 m | Grade: 2-3 Moderate - Challenging
After the walk we will say our goodbyes in the afternoon and head home.

Accommodation:
Relax at the welcoming YHA Swanage, based just 10 mins walk from Swanage beach. This comfortable hostel offers everything you need for a restful stay:
• Shared Rooms & Shared Bathrooms: Cosy bunk beds with bedding provided (bring your own towels).
• Self-Catering Kitchen & Dining Room: Fully equipped for meals/ lunch prep.
• On-Site Licensed Bar & Restaurant
• Communal spaces for relaxing.
• Outdoor Seating.
• Amenities include Wi-Fi (can be intermittent), laundry facilities, and on-site parking (car sharing encouraged).

Cost: £295 per person (plus meetup booking fee) OR pay by CARD
Deposit: £95 (non-refundable, due upon booking)
Balance: £200 (due 6 weeks before the trip)

What’s Not Included?
• Meals: Evening meals will be at local pubs/restaurants or self-catered at the Hostel. Please bring your own food for breakfasts and packed lunches.
• Transportation: Participants must arrange their own transport to and from activities. Lift shares will be coordinated wherever possible.

Preparation and Level:
The hikes are Moderate - Challenging in difficulty, featuring some steep gradients and uneven ground. You need to be physically capable of hiking for up to 7 hours. To join the hike, make sure you're dressed appropriately, as inappropriate attire will result in non-participation.

Safety and Guidelines:
Walks and activities are led by qualified guides. All activities will have a first aider.

How we grade our walks:
Grade 1: Easy Distance: Up to 10 km Elevation: Up to 150 m Pace: Gentle Suitable For: Beginners, leisurely walkers, or those seeking a relaxed experience.
Grade 2: Moderate Distance: 10–16 km Elevation: 150–400 m Pace: Gentle to Medium Suitable For: Walkers with basic fitness looking for manageable but enjoyable walks.
Grade 3: Challenging Distance: 16–25 km Elevation: 400–600 m Pace: Medium Suitable For: Those with good fitness, ready for longer distances or moderate elevation gain.
Grade 4: Tough Distance: 20–30 km Elevation: 600–800 m Pace: Medium to Brisk Suitable For: Fit walkers who are comfortable with sustained effort and steeper terrain.
Grade 5: Extreme Distance: 25+ km Elevation: 800+ m Pace: Medium to Brisk Suitable For: Experienced and very fit walkers seeking a full-day or highly strenuous adventure.
