The Hike:
Our walk begins at Chilworth Station, quickly heading into peaceful countryside before climbing up to St Martha’s Hill, a sandy ridge offering wide views across the Weald and towards the South Downs on a clear day.
We then join the North Downs Way, walking along the ridge to reach the popular viewpoint at Newlands Corner, where we’ll pause to soak up the scenery.
From there, the route gently descends into the historic and much-loved village of Shere, famous for its pretty cottages and film appearances.
After a chance to rest and explore, we continue on quiet woodland trails through Albury Heath, enjoying a more tranquil and lesser-trodden return to Chilworth.
