Meetups new stupid system update that automatically sorts members into active or inactive members. There is nothing I can do to change your status once you go into inactive other than send you an email.
A member is considered active if they’ve performed any of the following actions within the last 180 days:

  • RSVP’d to an event
  • Logged into their account
  • Visited the group page
  • Opened an email from the group

Please make sure that you go into your email setting in your profile to activate notifications.

Managing your email settings will stop you from receiving certain updates including messages, replies, comments, tagged photos, product news, and group suggestions.
It’s not possible to opt out of all Meetup emails, as we need to make sure we can reach you with important information about your account, security, privacy, policies, and payments.
However, you can choose which emails you receive from Meetup and from each of your groups.
If you're not receiving emails from Meetup, please follow these instructions.

## Managing email notifications

### 🖥️ Web instructions

  1. Click on your circular Profile button in the upper right-hand corner
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Email Updates
  4. To disable most emails, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Turn Off

If you prefer to unsubscribe from only some emails, adjust the toggle next to each type of email you no longer want to receive.
The email settings for each of your Meetup groups are located below your main email settings. You can create separate email preferences for each group.

| ❗️When certain push notifications are on, we skip sending the same info via email. |

|

If you prefer to receive an email instead, you can disable push notifications from the Meetup app on your mobile device.
If you're unsure about which notifications were enabled as Push for your mobile devices, you can always choose to toggle the Send both email and push option. This will ensure that you get an email update even if you also have Push notifications enabled for the same sort of communication (something that wouldn't happen by default).
