This group is for anyone interested in canyoneering. All skill levels are welcome. The purpose of this group is bring local canyoneers together for canyoneering training, trips, and skills practice.

Technical Canyoneering Course (ACE-L1) - St. George, UT

Needs a location

This fundamental and comprehensive two-day course provides instruction for beginner to intermediate canyoneers. Whether this is your first experience canyoneering or you would like to improve and hone the canyoning skills you already possess, this is the class for you. Upon completion of this course, you will have the knowledge and skill to safely descend canyons as a contributing member of a group.

You will need a harness, helmet, and gloves for this course. If you don’t have a harness and helmet one will be provided for you. All technical gear will also be provided for the class. If borrowing gear isn’t your thing we offer a 10% discount on all personal gear for our students!

Meet at Adventure Plus for orientation and classroom presentation. We will be in the field most of the day. Come prepared for 8 hours of hands on instruction, training, and practice.

Day 2 (7:00 am – 2:00 pm) June 4, 2022
Meet at the training site. We will be in the field all day. Come prepared for 8 hours of hands on instruction, training, and practice.

Bring a lunch, snacks, and at least 2-3 LITERS OF WATER. You will also need appropriate footwear (no sandals or open toed shoes), sun protection, and rappel gloves.

Skill Level:Beginner to Intermediate

Canyon Rescue Course (ACE-L4) - St. George, UT

Needs a location

The Canyon Rescue Course will prepare you to deal with canyoneering emergencies using the gear you already carry. Learn how to react when things don’t go according to plan. You will learn numerous rescue techniques as well as when to apply them.

Advanced Canyoneering Course (ACE-L2) - St. George, UT

Needs a location

The Advanced Canyoneering Course is designed to take you beyond the basics and prepare you for the unique challenges of advanced canyons. Escape potholes, safely navigate multi-pitch rappels, ascend ropes, and much more. By the end of this course you will posses all the fundamental skills necessary to tackle more difficult and technical canyons. This course also lays the foundation for the Canyon Leader and Canyon Rescue courses.

Prerequisite: Proficiency in the skills taught in the L1 course.
