Camino Spring Edition: Walk the French Way – Sarria to Santiago de Compostela

The route from Sarria on the Camino de Santiago is a captivating journey through the verdant landscapes of Galicia, Spain. Starting in Sarria, pilgrims embark on a 100-kilometer stretch of the Camino Francés, winding through charming countryside, ancient forests, and quaint rural villages.

116km in 6 days of walking

• Small group travel.
• Every night, you will enjoy the comforts of a hotel bed and facilities (based on twin-sharing) and peace of having your private bathroom
• Walk the Camino with daypack only: Luggage will be forwarded daily to hotel
• Savour the Galician cuisine and Camino pilgrim’s meals during your walk
• Sarria is a charming town in Galicia, Spain, the starting point for this walk. It has a medieval charm and is known for its historic landmarks.
• You will pass through typical Galician landscape with rural areas and lush green Eucalyptus forests.
• In Santiago de Compostela, we will stay in the hotel just right beside the cathedral to enjoy the sights, sound and serenity of the town
• Explore Paris - is the capital and largest city of France, the most romantic city in the world, Paris is a global center for art, fashion, gastronomy, and culture.

Accessible via different MRT lines and bus stops

Duration: 830-1030am
Level: Intermediate

What to expect:

1. Warm-up & dynamic stretching
2. Steps Training - up to 8 different sets of stairs and slopes around Fort Canning (start and end points are the same)

• we will also be jogging between stations

3. Interactive workout/games (targeting core and balance)
4. Exercises to target specific muscles for ⛰️
5. Cool Down (simple stretches)

Items to bring/wear

• comfortable sports attire and appropriate shoes
• (Arm-length) Towel and water bottle
• Most of us will be carrying our bags as part of hike training (you can choose to leave them in your car if you’re driving or bring a small bag)

Make sure you are able to run with your bag!

Note:

• In the event of wet weather, the event will be cancelled. However, if it is just a light drizzle, we may still proceed with caution or head to AU office for Indoor Workout.
• If you will be late or unable to make it, please inform me in advance or update your RSVP by 8 p.m. the night before.
• The 'Waitlist' may not go in order as we reserve the right to prioritise the spots for our trip participants.

It is time to explore Singapore.

So, lets kickstart our mission to discover Singapore by foot, get healthy and make new friends in the process!

Join the 3W Club - We want to walk!!!

This week, we will walk past the cultural places in Singapore, discovering hidden gems.

Estimated Walking distance: 10km to 12km
Expected to end around 11am to 11.30am

Meeting point: Raffles Place MRT, Exit B, Street level.

End Point: Somewhere in Little India.

Meeting Time: 7.45am

We will leave promptly at 7.50am

Wear comfortable walking shoes and light clothing
Raincoat / Umbrella
Hat / Cap / Sunblock
Water to stay hydrated (at least 1litre)
Isotonic drinks
Snacks or Comfort Food
Power bank (to charge your mobiles)
