<FULL> GUNUNG BELUMUT + LATA TENGKORAK WATERFALL (DAY HIKE)
Details
Join us on a weekday summit hike to Gunung Belumut, followed by a descent to the Lata Tengkorak Waterfall for a cool relief before ending the day hike! At 1010m, Gunung Belumut is the third highest mountain in Johor. This is a challenging day hike and not for beginners, unless comfortably fit for the distance and elevation gain below:
Distance: ~13km
Elevation Gain: ~1200m
Highest Altitude: 1010m (Gunung Belumut summit)
NOTE: There is a cut-off time to summit to ensure hike ends on time within daylight hours. If you are unable to reach summit before cut-time time, you will need to turn back and descend. There is also a cut-off time to reach the Lata Tengkorak Waterfall. If you do not arrive at the junction in time, you will continue descent to the foothill. Time allocated will be ample for experienced hikers and prepared beginners.
Itinerary:
0600 Meet at Marsiling MRT
0845 Arrive at Gunung Belumut Recreational Forest. Briefing at trailhead.
0900 Start of Hike
1330 Reach Summit at 1010m (cut-off time applies here)
(pack own lunch and can take here or at any appropriate break point)
1430 Start descent to CP1
1600 Lata Tengkorak Junction (cut-off time applies here)
1630 Lata Tengkorak Waterfall
1700 Continue descent
1800 End of Hike; Wash-Up
1830 Dinner (included!)
2000 Head back to Singapore
2230 Home Sweet Home
