AU SG-TW Hike: The Original Pipeline Walk (Half Route)

Meet our AU Taiwan team on this sunday hike!
The 90-year-old Central Pipeline Reserve that was used to convey water from Gunung Pulai in Johor to Pearl’s Hill Service Reservoir in our city.
Numerous hidden gems of flora and fauna grow along the trail, making for some unique photo opportunities that would make any professional smile with anticipation.
Put on some comfortable shoes, enjoy a beautiful day and the urban walk!
From Chinatown to Sixth Avenue
22th March 2026 (Sunday)
8:00am (we'll start 8:10am) to 12pm
Meet at Chinatown MRT exit C Street Level
Ends at Sixth Avenue MRT
Duration: ~4 hours, depending on route conditions and fitness level of team
NOTE:
** Please note that this is will be a moderate walk on multiple terrains, including nature trails and tarmac
** There will be some challenging hilly slopes and steps to negotiate
** The estimated walking distance is 12km
Items to bring:
- Comfortable hiking attire and trail shoes
- Insect repellent / Umbrella Hat / Cap / Sunblock
- Water to stay hydrated (at least 1L)
- Waterproof your items and be rain-equipped (rain cover, rain jacket, poncho, umbrella, etc.)
- In case of Cat 1 (bad weather); any change of plans will be announced on the morning of hike. Route may change according to weather conditions
