Gunung Rajah via Kuala Kubu Bharu (KKB) is considered a "hardcore" route for experienced hikers, one of the toughest day-hike style mountain routes in Peninsular Malaysia. It’s popular among experienced hikers looking for long endurance challenges rather than technical climbing.
The hike is known for its extreme length—approximately 26 km total—and significant elevation gain of roughly 2000+ meters.
It is a long, rugged endurance trek through dense rainforest with constant steep ups and downs, ropes, ladders, river crossings, and muddy terrain. Expect a physically and mentally demanding journey that may even include ending the hike in the dark.
