What we're about

Welcome to Bristol & South West Adventure Sports! (previously known as "Bristol & South West Extreme").

Are you looking to meet new people in the area, whilst trying your hand at something totally different and outside of your comfort zone? Then this is the group for you! We're famed for organising lots of fun and adventurous activities - from wakeboarding and surfing, to kayaking trips, climbing and abseiling, clay pigeon shooting, trips to goApe, go-karting, race driving and stunt driving, sky-diving, bungee jumping, flying trapeze, walks, regular social nights (down the pub), and even trips abroad. And many, many more. So, throw caution to the wind, and join up today!

We're by far the most active group in the area for this kind of thing, so have always got something coming up. Take a look at our calendar for past and future events, read some reviews, and check out our videos and photos, to get a flavour of what we're all about.

Hope to welcome you to an event soon :-)

Old Sodbury (possible sunset) walk 6-8miles

Needs a location

Evening walk in the Cotswold Countryside, along the hills from Old Sodbury church to Horton Camp. Expect, fields with cattle, could be muddy and a few short, steep hills.

As this walk is hoping to catch a sunset you should expect the end of the walk will also be in the dark and could be cold. This also means I will need everyone to arrive on time (including me).

Fingers crossed we may spot Swifts, Buzzards, Red Kites, Muntjac deer and bats. As well as the normal farmlands cattle. (Because of the fields of cattle, this walk isn't really suitable for dogs, unless kept on a short lead)

After the walk, for anyone interested, we could possibly pop to the local pub for a drink.

Sunday Surf Session

Location visible to members

Hello everyone 😀 Another Sunday session on the horizon. All abilities welcome so come on down! Lessons available, see below

This is a later session than usual due to the tide times. High Tide: 12:07

We will meet at the benches in front of the entrance to the Surf School at 12:45. I will wear a bright orange hoody over my wetsuit so you can find me easily. We’ll then head on down to the water at 13:15. People can stay for as little or as long as they like.

Parking cost during Summer: All Day £4 cash

If you’d like to come along but not surf, then there is a nice walk along the coastal path, mountain bike and Fat Bike hire available at the Surf School, and a nice cafe with a view over the ocean providing snacks/drinks. The more the merrier 🤗

To rent suits and boards, or book a lesson, check out the surf school’s website: https://www.porthcawlsurf.co.uk

See you there! 🏄🏻‍♀️ 🏄‍♂️

North Nibley 4miles walk +(Possible Sunset near the Monument)

Needs a location

Yup, I am hosting another Sunset walk.

Meet up opposite the pub.

4 mile, almost circular walk. Up a steep hill at the start, from North Nibley, loop around the local woodland then to the Tower, Tyndale's Monument.

Please can everyone make sure they are there before 19:45 to give us plenty of time to hopefully catch a gorgeous Sunset near the Tower.

Catching the Sunset also means we will be walking back in the Dark, so you may want to bring a torch for the last bit.

Also after the walk, we could possibly pop to the pub for an evening meal.

Frampton On Severn 4 mile flat evening walk (+possible sunset)

Needs a location

Please meet outside of the Three Horseshoes Pub to start the walk.
The walk is a 4 mile circular flat walk through Frampton On Severn to the local canal at Saul Junction.
We will then walk along the canal to Splatt Bridge hopefully catching the sunset on the way.

There is a village car park opposite side of the green to the Three Horseshoes Pub. Which everyone may find easier to park at.

Also anyone who arrived a couple of hours early.
I do plan to grab food and drink in the pub before the walk... They do a very tasty Three Shoe Pie 😋

Disclaimer: I am not first aid trained so everyone takes this walk at there own risk
