Anacostia Riverwalk Hike

Meeting Place: Navy Yard Metro/Green Line/New Jersey Avenue SE exit street level

Meeting Time: 12 noon

Hike Description: We’ll take the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail northbound from the Navy Yard Metro Station to Kingman Island and the RFK Stadium site and continue on the Trail into Prince George’s County MD. We’ll stop at the Bladensburg Waterfront Park for a break, where water & bathrooms are available. From Bladensburg we’ll switch over to the Northwest Branch Trail towards the West Hyattsville Metro Station, where we'll finish roughly at 4 p.m.

Hike length: about 10 miles, with very little elevation change.

Bring beverages, snacks, comfortable walking shoes, layers and the $5 Adventuring trip fee. The trip leader will pay this fee for any financially challenged participant.
