From henceforth, we have decided to vote on the next book to discuss at the end of our book club meetings, so PLEASE show up to the meetings if you'd like a voice in voting for the next book. What: The Gilda Stories is the debut novel of American author and activist Jewelle Gomez. Published in 1991, this speculative fiction vampire novel follows the experiences of a Black lesbian heroine whose power and morality challenge assumptions about the vampire myth.

Why: We meet to foster kinship and discuss important issues within the Black/Black diaspora community, world-wide! Let's join each other and discuss this book and ways to effect positive change in the systems that we must navigate.
