Also, I'm gonna set up polls for the books that we're going to read for February, March, and April, but we're going to discuss the poll books at this meeting too so be sure to show up so that you have a say for the next books! I hope to see y'all there!

Who: YOU!!
What: In The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms, Jemisin introduces readers to a world where gods walk among mortals and political intrigue shapes the fate of empires. The story follows Yeine Darr, a young woman thrust into a royal power struggle after her mother’s mysterious death. Blending myth, politics, and emotion, Jemisin’s debut novel set a new standard for character-driven epic fantasy.
When: January 31st, 11:00 AM MST
Where: The Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library, 2401 Welton St, Denver, CO 80205
Why: We meet to foster kinship and discuss important issues within the Black/Black diaspora community, world-wide! Let's have fun talking about this epic fantasy!
----------------------
I look forward to discussing this book with y'all and hope that you can make it to our meeting! Feel free to attend even if you did not read the book or have partially read the book. Also, it's come to my attention that Meetup is trying to charge y'all for sending messages within the app. Let me know if you're encountering this because we're going to definitely discuss options for possibly moving the club to another online space that's COMPLETELY free.
