MEETUP VISION: Agile Charleston Meetup exists to foster collaboration and maximize learning opportunities in an effort to grow a strong base of Agile practitioners within the Charleston community and beyond.

Our group is comprised of local professionals who fulfill a variety of roles, including but not limited to agile coaches, consultants, scrum masters, product owners, agile team members, and executives. Our goal is to ensure that every participant derives value from our sessions whether it be as a participant who wishes to learn new concepts and techniques, a presenter who is passionate about sharing their experiences with others, or an attendee who wishes to grow their professional and personal network.

We are an inclusive, friendly, inquisitive group who are passionate about agility and Lean approaches for creating and sustaining products, operations, and organizations.

Here are some facts and guidelines about this meetup group:

• We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every month for ~90 minutes.

• We typically meet in the evening beginning at 5:30 or 6 pm and will soon be experimenting with interspersing breakfast and/or lunch sessions.

• Prior to Covid-19, we met in person but are currently using Zoom. Once restrictions are eased, we will likely vary in-person and remote sessions.

• We primarily communicate with our group members via our Slack channel: lowcountryagile.slack.com. You can use this link to join - https://join.slack.com/t/lowcountryagile/shared_invite/zt-4vjjkg85-t2YYjwsjr3tGdiWKfWMLmQ .

• We also communicate with members directly on the Meetup page or via email.

Our three-person steering committee plans and schedules the meetups, decides on meetup activities and themes, coordinates speakers and venue logistics, and solicits feedback to assist with planning future sessions and fulfilling the vision for the group. While we currently have no financial supporters, we are always open to companies supporting the meetup by hosting at their company’s site or providing food and beverages. We acknowledge and appreciate all of our supporters.

As we are an organization sponsored by the Agile Alliance, all Meetups and members are pursuant to the Agile Alliance Code of Conduct (https://www.agilealliance.org/the-alliance/code_of_conduct/): Be kind to others. Behave Professionally.
