We are a group of professional Agile Coaches driven by our strong desire to support people and organizations in a thought-provoking journey toward awareness and fulfillment under the Agile mindset. In our endeavor to spread agile culture, we want this group to share, explore, and practice coaching skills and competencies.
Our purpose is to raise awareness of the coaching stance and craft the coaching skills of Agile Coaches and other Leaders within a modern organization by embracing the ICF Core Values & Principles.

Recently, Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters who act as coaches have often been perceived as less than helpful. A common narrative is that we are wannabe Life Coaches, who only ask questions, refuse to reply to questions for input and try to forcefully coach people wherever and whenever we meet them. As a reaction, some go as far as to say coaching doesnβt work or coaching is not useful in an agile context.
The truth is, of course, that coaching fits every environment that is about empowerment, self-organization and innovation. And it shines at that. But there are a few things that we need to get right for it to work properly. The misunderstandings, myths and distortions that usually lead to coaching not working well or being perceived as a nuisance in agile spaces can be summarized under three bullet points:- Lack of contracting and relationship design
- Unhelpful self-imposed limitations and false assumptions
- Mismatch in approach, style and timing
This talk will address the major issues that fall under each of these headlines and provide the necessary remedies for coaching to work well in agile environments. Whether you are an Agile Coach, a Scrum Master or looking into using coaching skills in any other role, this talk will help you have more impact, experience less friction and lead you to more happy teammates, stakeholders and clients.

In this session, you learn the details of contracting for a coaching relationship in depth, why it decides the success of a coaching relationship before it has even started and what some of the things are that are often forgotten or ignored, harming the client and the coach. Refuting a common myth, the session will show how giving input and using facilitation techniques can be not only fine in a coaching relationship, but they can even be the secret sauce that makes your clients achieve their goals and require more of your services.
