Hello All!

Following such a great event at Charlotte Tilbury, we're back again with Skyscanner on Tuesday 21st October, from 5.30pm!

We have some fantastic, heavy-hitting speakers lined up for the evening, so you won't want to miss this!

Talk 1: Antoni Shtipliyski (Engineering Manager at Skyscanner) with "Platform team pitfalls - why centralisation ≠ adoption"

Synopsis: A common way to address the growing demands on teams in larger orgs is to centralise reusable capabilities under a Platform Team. In this talk, Antoni will explore how this can often backfire unless one considers the operational practices required to make effective use of such Platforms in the form of complementary Enablement work

Talk 2: Karl Scotland (Strategic Agility Coach) with "That's Not My Agile"

Synopsis: The Agile Manifesto is over 20 years old now, and the roots of agile have been around for even longer than that. In fact, if you read social media, you might think that agile needs revitalising - if it's not already dead.

However, the need for Agile is as great as ever as organisations struggle with increasingly complex and rapidly changing landscapes.

This talk will introduce a framework with which to examine different agile perspectives (TASTE), a tool by which they can all be coherent (the X-Matrix), and an approach where agile really can have a positive impact (Strategy Deployment).

With these ideas, you will be able to discover and declare "That's my agile!"

Talk 3: Giles Lindsay (C-Level Digital Growth, Innovation & Business Agility Thought Leader) with “Leading the Future: Adaptive Leadership and Business Agility”

Synopsis: Agility isn’t about frameworks or rituals - it’s about leadership. In a post-Agile era, where uncertainty and speed are constants, leaders must model adaptability and embed it across culture, strategy, and execution.

In this talk, Giles introduces the CLEAR Model® - Culture, Leadership, Execution, Adaptability, and Responsiveness - a leadership-first framework that helps organisations thrive. Drawing from his new book "The Adaptive Leader", Giles will share the key competencies leaders need to move from “doing Agile” to “being agile.” Expect practical insights, relatable stories, and a clear view of how adaptive leadership unlocks sustainable business agility.

This one isn't to be missed, so make sure you get signed up early to avoid any disappointment!

See you there!
Alex.
