Three speakers across the evening:
Talk 1: Patricia Manley (Head of Agile Delivery at Seven.One Entertainment Group) with 'When Words Fail, Draw!'
Synopsis: When Patricia first arrived in the UK, she felt her English was far from perfect, let's just say, a work in progress but her ideas were too good to get lost in translation. In this talk, she shares her personal journey of discovering the power of visualisation, from overcoming language barriers as a young Business Analyst to leading complex refinements, keeping remote teams aligned during the pandemic, and scaling after a major merger. Through real-life stories, Patricia shows how visual tools don’t just make work “look pretty” they focus discussions, build shared understanding, and speed up decision-making.
You will walk away with simple, practical ways to use visuals so meetings turn into action not just more meetings.
Talk 2: Georgina Hopkinson (Lead Delivery Manager at Kaluza) with "Turning Insight into Impact: A practical guide to using data".
Synopsis: Numbers alone don’t drive change but how we get them, interpret them, and share them does. In this short talk, we’ll look at simple ways to turn metrics into stories that spark action and build trust. Let’s talk about why historical metrics matter, how context can make all the difference, and why even imperfect data can be a powerful tool for improvement at every level.
Talk 3: Mike McKinlay (Strategic Agile Delivery Lead at Bloomberg) with "High Performing Teams - Finding Team Flow"
Synopsis: We will explore what it takes for teams to operate in a state of high performance - not only through Agile practices, but also by fostering the psychological and environmental conditions that enable true flow. Drawing from experience in Agile delivery and team development, the speaker will connect the science of individual flow with the realities of modern team dynamics. Using practical examples and relatable stories, they will unpack the enablers and barriers to team flow. This insightful session is designed to leave you thinking differently about how to help your team do its best work.
