Making the Most of User Research: Driving a User-Centric Backlog While Maintaining Delivery Momentum
User research within agile product development processes is incredibly valuable to create products that incrementally best serve those most impacted. This work and its outcomes, however, can be inefficient or ineffective in driving the high-value solutions we are after. The value of the research depends on when it’s used, how it’s applied, and what happens after the findings are understood.
This discussion is designed for those involved in agile product design and development who want to use user research and service design in a way that strengthens product development and decision making without slowing it down. The focus is on how to get tangible value from research and design that best informs the backlog, how to apply it to your team and product development cadence and how to make sure that the findings are truly getting to the root of what needs solving.
