Session Title:
The New Org Chart for AI Product Development
Abstract:
AI product development has an org design problem — not a tooling problem, not a talent problem — and the evidence is this:
AI roles are not tools, they are hirable roles, and they belong on the org chart.
Once they're there, every human role around them has to change — not because AI replaces humans, but because it concentrates the remaining human work at the layer AI cannot substitute.
This architecture wasn't theorized — it was pressured into existence by building a production SaaS application with AI as the primary development resource. This session presents the result: the new org chart, the new workflow, the new role definitions, and the evidence that building this way changes the economics of what can be created, by whom, and at what cost.
Speaker: Matt Shanahan, Founder InvestmentLab.AI
With many years in software, Matt builds high-performance teams in moments of change — especially when technology reshapes how work gets done. Over the last two decades, I’ve led product, platform, and strategy teams through scale, regulation, and market shifts. Today, that work increasingly sits at the intersection of AI, systems thinking, and human judgment.
