Beyond the AI Mandate: Building a Culture of Ownership
Everyone is racing to answer one question: how do we use AI? Far fewer are asking what actually determines the return on that effort. The answer is culture. Get the tools right but ignore the culture around them, and you won't achieve the impact you're after.
For most organizations, AI is arriving the same way agile once did. A decision from the top. A tool everyone is told to use. A mandate pushed down without ever asking the people doing the work what they need or what they fear. The how-to gets all the attention, and the culture that makes it actually stick gets skipped.
This interview-style session digs into what leaders miss when they treat AI as a rollout instead of a shift in how people work. We will look at the fears that quietly block adoption, why top-down mandates stall, and how leaders build the guardrails and ownership that turn AI anxiety into genuine curiosity. Drawn from a live session delivered to working leaders, where a simple set of questions exposed just how unprepared most teams really are.
You will leave with three questions (call to action) that you can put to your own team immediately.
